Most of what happens here happens quietly, in rooms you will never visit. Partnership is how it reaches further than the people we can walk to.
Why it matters
What a partner actually changes.
Nobody here is paid to do most of this. The home fellowships, the teaching, the hours spent sitting with someone in grief — those are given freely, and they will carry on whether or not anyone overseas ever reads this page.
What partnership changes is the ceiling. It is the difference between discipling the people we can reach on foot and training a room full of believers who will then reach further than we can. It is the difference between a school that exists on paper and one with a room, a teacher, and students who pay nothing to be there.
We would rather have twenty partners who understand what they are part of than two hundred who do not.
One
Pray.
The first thing we ask for, and the one we would miss most. Send us something to pray for and we will pray for it — requests are read by the team and prayed over by name, not filed.
If you would rather receive than send, join the prayer list. We write once a month at most, with what is actually happening and what we need God to do about it.
Two
Give.
Regular giving is what will let us train believers who could never pay to be trained. Most of the people we hope to put through the school support families on daily wages.
Being set up
Our giving channel is not open yet.
We are arranging a way to give that is safe for the ministry here and straightforward for partners overseas. It is not ready, and we would rather say so plainly than put up a button that does not work properly.
In the meantime, if you are weighing regular or one-off support, write to us. We will tell you exactly where it would go, what it would change, and how it would be accounted for.
Three
Go.
Come and see. Bring a team. Send someone. Visits are welcome, and they need planning well ahead — both for the sake of the people here and so that the trip is worth the airfare.
Short-term teams work best when they come to serve a plan that already exists rather than bring one with them. Tell us what your people are actually good at and we will tell you honestly whether we can use it.
If you are a sending church weighing a longer partnership, we would far rather have that conversation early and frankly than hear about it once the decisions are made.
Where your partnership goes
Four things, in this order.
We are not publishing percentages yet, because we do not have a year of audited figures to stand behind. We will publish them as soon as we do.
Training believers
The largest share. Teaching materials, travel for teachers, and the running cost of the Discipleship School once it opens.
Home fellowships
Bibles, printed studies, and the small practical costs of a group that meets weekly in somebody’s home.
Pastoral care
Families in crisis: medical bills, food, and school fees for children whose parents cannot cover them.
Running the ministry
The unglamorous part — transport, phones, and the modest support of those working full time.
Accountability
How we handle what you give.
We take accountability seriously, and we would think less of a partner who did not ask about it. Every gift is recorded. Spending is reviewed by more than one person, and no individual — the director included — can move money on their own.
We will report to partners at least once a year on what came in and what it did. If you ask a direct question about any of it, you will get a direct answer.
